Sulle colline del Chianti, a soli 6 km da Poggibonsi, a 14 km da Castellina in Chianti, a 17 km da San Gimignano, in mezzo a vigneti, oliveti e cipressi sorge un piccolo borgo medioevale parzialmente ristrutturato. I proprietari, spinti dalla passione per le cose antiche e dalla voglia di vivere in campagna, hanno impiegato ben 5 anni a ristrutturare con perizia ed amore alcune delle case coloniche presenti nel borgo. Non solo hanno lasciato immutate le strutture architettoniche di ciascuna abitazione, ma hanno anche recuperato e restaurato tutti i mobili trovati nei vecchi scantinati e magazzini del borgo.
Il retro della struttura è stato terrazzato: la pietra, il prato all’inglese, la lavanda, la ginestra, la salvia ed il rosmarino sono i protagonisti principali. Un vialetto in pietra delimitato da una staccionata in legno conduce alla piscina (6x12m; aperta da metà Giugno fino a metà Settembre) sapientemente inserita in mezzo a piante di olivo.
Cinque sono gli appartamenti che compongono “Il Borghetto”. Tutti gli ospiti delle abitazioni hanno un proprio spazio all’aperto. Gli appartamenti sono muniti di tv ed antenna parabolica puntata su “Astra” e “Hot Bird”. La lavastoviglie è presente in tutte le abitazioni tranne che in “La Macina”.
Chi ama le colline toscane, il buon vino, la tranquillità e lo stile architettonico delle antiche case coloniche non può fare a meno di prenotare uno degli appartamenti de “Il Borghetto”.
I bambini sono ospiti ben accetti ma, data la struttura della casa, l'arredamento antico e ricercato, la mancanza di spazi attrezzati dedicati al gioco, si rende indispensabile da parte dei genitori un particolare controllo nei loro confronti.

LA MACINA Una staccionata in legno è stata recuperata per recingere il cortile dove si trova l’ingresso di questo appartamento e la scala che conduce a “Il Frantoio” ad “Il Focolare”.
Una volta entrati subito una calda atmosfera ci circonda e ci riporta indietro nel tempo. Un ampio soggiorno con due divani, un antico tavolo in stile toscano ed il vecchio camino ricavato utilizzando la vecchia ruota in pietra di una macina per le olive, creano un’atmosfera mista di eleganza e comfort.  Un elegante angolo cottura, realizzato con ceramiche fatte a mano, offre agli ospiti la possibilità di cucinare. Dal soggiorno, per mezzo di un corridoio, si accede al bagno con doccia ed alla camera matrimoniale.

IL FOCOLARE Una staccionata in legno è stata recuperata per recingere il cortile dove si trova l’ingresso dell’appartamento “La Macina” e la scala che conduce a “Il Frantoio” e a “Il Focolare”. L’ingresso di quest’ultimo appartamento si affaccia su un piccolo terrazzino. A fianco c’è anche l’ingresso de “Il Frantoio”.
La prima cosa che colpisce entrando è il grande camino non funzionante che i proprietari hanno comunque voluto mantenere intatto. Vicino  a quest’ultimo vi sono due grandi divani. L’ampio soggiorno suddiviso in tre zone è molto ben arredato. La cucina è in muratura e rivestita con piastrelle fatte a mano. Il tavolo, le due panche, le vetrine e tutti gli altri mobili in legno sono antichi.
Procedendo oltre, un corridoio conduce alle camere (di cui una matrimoniale con il bagno in camera e l’altra con due letti singoli) ed al bagno con doccia.
Dal soggiorno, per mezzo di una porta-finestra, si accede al giardino munito di tavolo e sedie dove poter far colazione o intrattenersi la sera. Delle scalette attraversano il giardino e conducono alla piscina posta al di sopra dell’appartamento.
La porta accanto al camino, se lasciata aperta, trasforma “Il Focolare” e “Il Frantoio” in un grande appartamento.

IL FRANTOIO Una staccionata in legno è stata recuperata per recingere il cortile dove si trova l’ingresso dell’appartamento “La Macina” e la scala che conduce a “Il Focolare” e a “Il Frantoio”. L’ingresso di quest’ultimo appartamento si affaccia su un piccolo terrazzino. A fianco c’è anche l’ingresso de “Il Focolare”.
L’arredamento è molto simile a quello de “Il Focolare”. Anche qui vi è un camino (funzionante). Il soffitto con grandi travi in legno e mattoni in cotto toscano fanno de “Il Frantoio” un appartamento veramente unico nel suo genere. Il soggiorno molto luminoso ospita l’angolo cottura, il tavolo toscano con sedie e un divano singolo. Il reparto notte si compone di una camera matrimoniale, una camera con due letti singoli e due bagni con doccia (di cui uno all’interno della camera con i due letti singoli).
Una porta del soggiorno, se lasciata aperta, trasforma “Il Focolare” e “Il Frantoio” in un grande appartamento. Dal soggiorno, per mezzo di una porta-finestra, si accede al cortile posto sul retro dove vi sono tavolo e sedie da giardino. Da cortile, per mezzo delle scalette in pietra, si accede al vialetto che conduce alla piscina.

IL COLOMBAIO L’ingresso si trova a piano terra ed è indipendente rispetto a tutte le altre abitazioni de “Il Borghetto”.
Per mezzo di una scalinata, si accede al piano superiore. Alla fine della scala se procediamo a destra troviamo un bagno con doccia e due camere da letto (una matrimoniale e l’altra con due letti singoli). Sulla sinistra, invece, vi è un bagno con doccia e un grandissimo soggiorno su due livelli con delle caratteristiche finestrelle dove, anticamente, facevano il loro ingresso i colombi. Per mezzo di antichi scalini in pietra, volutamente mantenuti intatti dai proprietari, si accede ad un piccolo salotto sottostante.
Facendo un passo indietro, ritornando cioè al punto dove termina la rampa di scale che congiunge il piano terra al piano superiore, vi è una porta che conduce al cortile esterno. Da qui, per mezzo di pochi scalini, si accede ad una terrazza rialzata munita di tavolo, sedie da giardino ed un grande ombrellone: in questo punto si gode una stupenda vista su tutto il giardino terrazzato posto sul retro de “Il Borghetto” e sulle colline circostanti. Questo appartamento può essere reso comunicante con l’altro al piano inferiore (La Mangiatoia) e, dunque, ideale per essere affittati entrambi da un gruppo di 6 persone.

LA MANGIATOIA L’ingressi di questo appartamento si trova sulla stesso vicolo che conduce a “Il Colombaio”. Una volta entrati troviamo un camino non funzionante sulla destra (di fronte al quale vi è un divano) mentre a sinistra vi è una angolo cottura in muratura. I muri del soggiorno sono completamente in pietra ed il soffitto, come per “Il Frantoio”, con travi di legno e mattoni. Una piccola porta conduce alla camera matrimoniale e da questa ad uno dei bagni con doccia presenti a piano terra (l’altro  bagno è accessibile dal soggiorno). Riservata solo a questo appartamento vi è una piccola terrazza panoramica posta non distante dall’appartamento. Questo appartamento può essere reso comunicante con l’altro al piano superiore (Il Colombaio) e, dunque, ideale per essere affittati entrambi da un gruppo di 6 persone.

 IL BORGHETTO A small Medieval village, totally refurbished, is located on top of a Chianti hill, only 6 km from Poggibonsi, 14 km from Castellina in Chianti and 17 km from San Gemignano,  surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and cypresses. The owners, driven by their love for old things and by their desire to live in the country, took over 5 years to refurbish , with great skill and love, some of the small village houses. They not only left unaltered the architecture of each house, but  also restored all the furniture they found in the old cellars and in the warehouses. The back of the village was terraced. There is a lawn: lavender,  Spanish broom,  sage and rosemary are everywhere. A fenced path leads to the swimming pool (6 x 12m; opened from middle of June to middle of September) which is surrounded by olive trees.
“Il Borghetto” is made up of five flats. Each flat has got its own open area. All the flats have got Sat TV pointed towards Astra and Hotbird. All the flats, except for “La Macina”, have got a dish washer.
If you love theTuscan hills, good wine, the quietness and the architecture of old country houses, you can’t help booking one of the “Il Borghetto” flats.
Children are welcome but, considering the structure of the house, the fine antique furniture and the absence of areas equipped with games for children, it is advisable for parents to keep a careful eye on them.

LA MACINA A restored wooden fence  surrounds the courtyard where the entrance to this flat and the staircase that leads to “Il Frantoio” and “Il Focolare” are located.
Once you get into this flat you will feel a warm atmosphere that will bring you back in time. A large living room with two sofa, an old style Tuscan table and an old fireplace – built with the stones of an olive grindstone – create an ambience full of elegance and comfort. There is an  elegant kitchenette, made with hand made ceramics, where you can cook your meals. From the living room, walking along a corridor, you get to a bathroom with a shower and to the double bedroom.

IL FOCOLARE A restored wooden  fence surrounds the courtyard where the entrance to this flat and the staircase that leads to “Il Frantoio” and “Il Focolare” are located. The entrance to “Il Focolare” opens into a small terrace. Next to it there is also the entrance to “Il Frantoio”. The first thing that strikes you when you get into this flat is the old  fireplace which, although it  does not work, the owners have decided to keep it there. There are two sofas next to it. The large living room – divided into three areas – is very well furnished. The stone kitchen has got hand made tiles. The table, the two benches, the glass cabinets, and all the other wooden furniture, are antique.
A corridor leads to the bedrooms and to the bathroom with a shower.. One of bedrooms is a double one and with a bathroom, the other has got two twin beds.
A French window in the living room opens into the garden where there is a table with chairs and where you can have breakfast or a chat at night. Some steps lead from the garden to the pool which is on top of the flat. The door next to the fireplace, if left open, turns “Il Frantoio” and “Il Focolare” into a large flat.

IL FRANTOIO A restored wooden  fence surrounds the courtyard where the entrance to “La Macina” and the staircase that leads to “Il Frantoio” and “Il Focolare” are located. The entrance to this flat opens into a small terrace. Next to it there is also the entrance to “Il Focolare”. The flat is furnished more or less like “Il Focolare” and it has a working fireplace!  The  wooden beams and red bricks living room ceiling make this flat really unique. The kitchenette is in the large living room. There is also a Tuscan table with chairs and a single sofa. The sleeping area has got a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and two bathrooms with a shower (one of which is inside the twin bedroom). One of the living room doors, if left open, changes “Il Frantoio” and “Il Focolare” into a large flat. A French door in the living room opens into the courtyard - at the back of the flat - where there is a table and garden chairs. From the courtyard, some stone steps lead you to the path that goes to the pool.

IL COLOMBAIO The entrance is on the ground floor and is independent compared to all the other flats of “Il Borghetto”.
Through a small opening and a staircase, you can get to the first floor. If you go right, at the end of the staircase, you will see a bathroom with a shower and two bedrooms (a double one and one with twin beds). On the right there is another bathroom with a shower and the livingroom with characteristic small windows once used by doves. An old stone staircase – that the owners intentionally did not alter – leads you to a small sitting room below.
A the end of the above mentioned staircase there is also a door opening into the courtyard. A few steps there lead you to the raised terrace which is equipped with a table, chairs and a large beach umbrella. There you can enjoy a wonderful view of the whole raised garden at the back of “Il Borghetto” and of the nearby hills.
This apartment can be rented by a group of 6 persons too. A special little door, if let opened, can to unit this apartment with “La Macina” bellow.

LA MANGIATOIA The entrance is on the same “vicolo” where is the “Il Colombaio” entrance. Once you get into the flat you will see a fireplace (it does not work) and, on the left, you will see a stone kitchenette. The living room walls are all built with stones and the ceiling, like in “Il Frantoio”, is made with wooden beams and red bricks. A small door leads to the double bedroom and from this to one of the ground floor bathrooms (with a shower). You get to the other bathroom from the living room. Into the living-room there is a sofà, too. This flat has got a small panoramic terrace not far from it and reserved only to the flat guests.
This apartment can be rented by a group of 6 persons too. A special little door, if let opened, can to unit this apartment with “Il Colombaio”.

 IL BORGHETTO Auf den Hügeln des Chianti, nur 6 km von Poggibonsi, 14 km von Castellina in Chianti, 17 km von San Gimignano entfernt, umgeben von Weingärten, Olivenbäumen und Zypressen liegt ein kleiner, teilweise renovierter, mittelalterlicher Flecken.
Die Besitzer haben 5 Jahren gebraucht, aus Leidenschaft für Antiquitäten und Lust auf dem Lande zu leben, um mit Sorgfalt und Liebe einige der Landhäuser zu renovieren. Sie haben nicht nur die Architektur jeder Unterkunft bewahrt, sonder sie haben auch alle Möbel renoviert und wieder verwendet, die sie in den alten Kellern und Lagern des Fleckens gefunden haben.
Die Rückseite ist terrassiert: Steine, englischer Rasen, Lavendel, Ginster, Salbei und Rosmarin sind hier die Hauptdarsteller. Ein kleiner Steinweg, begrenzt durch einen Holzzaun, führt zum von Olivenbäumen umgebenen Schwimmbecken (6x12m; offen von mitte Juni  bis mitte September).
“Il Borghetto” besteht aus fünf Wohnungen. Alle Gäste verfügen über einen eigenen Bereich im Freien. In jeder Wohnung gibt es Sat-TV (Astra und Hot Bird) und, außer in der Wohnung „Le Macine“, auch eine Spülmaschine.
Wer die Hügel der Toskana, guten Wein, Ruhe und den architektonischen Stil der alten Landhäuser liebt, kommt nicht darum herum eine der Wohnungen von „Il Borghetto“ zu reservieren.
Kinder sind willkommen, allerdings müssen die Eltern, wegen der Struktur des Hauses, der alten und exklusiven Einrichtung, des Mangels geignetem Spielplatz, besonders auf ihre Kinder Acht geben.

LA MACINA Ein restaurierter Holzzaun wurde verwendet, um den Hof einzuzäunen, auf dem sich der Eingang zu dieser Wohnung und die Treppe zu den Wohnungen „Il Frantoio“ und „Il Focolare“ befinden.
Nach dem Eintreten umgibt einen sofort eine warme Atmosphäre, die alte Zeiten zurückbringt. Ein großes Wohnzimmer mit zwei Sofas, einem alten Tisch im toskanischen Stil und einem Kamin, aus dem alten Mühlstein einer Olivenpresse gemacht, schaffen ein besonderes Klima von Eleganz und Komfort. Eine elegante Kochecke aus handgefertigten Fliesen bietet den Gästen die Möglichkeit zum Kochen. Vom Wohnzimmer aus kommt man durch einen Flur zum Bad mit Dusche und zum Schlafzimmer.

IL FOCOLARE Ein restaurierter Holzzaun wurde verwendet, um den Hof einzuzäunen, auf dem sich der Eingang zu Wohnung „La Macina“ und die Treppe zu den Wohnungen „Il Frantoio“ und „Il Focolare“ befinden.
Der Eingang letzterer Wohnung geht auf eine kleine Terrasse. Direkt nebenan befindet sich auch der Eingang von „Il Frantoio“. 
Das Erste, was nach dem Eintreten auffällt, ist der große nicht funktionsfähige Kamin, den die Besitzer erhalten haben. In seiner Nähe stehen zwei großen Sofas. Das großzügige Wohnzimmer ist sehr gut eingerichtet und in 3 Bereiche unterteilt. Die Küche ist gemauert und mit handgefertigten Fliesen verkleidet. Der Tisch, die zwei Bänke, die Vitrinen und alle andere Holzmöbel sind antike Originale.
Über einen Flur kommt man zu den zwei Schlafzimmern (ein Doppelzimmer mit Bad und ein Zweibettzimmer) und zum Bad mit Dusche.
Von Wohnzimmer aus kommt man über eine Glastür zum mit Tisch und Stühlen ausgestatten Garten, wo man frühstücken oder am Abend sitzen kann. Einige Stufen führen durch den Garten zu dem oberhalb der Wohnung gelegenen Schwimmbad. Lässt man die Tür neben dem Kamin offen verwandeln sich „Il Focolare“ und „Il Frantoio“ in eine große Wohnung.

IL FRANTOIO Ein restaurierter Holzzaun wurde verwendet, um den Hof einzuzäunen, auf dem sich der Eingang zu Wohnung „La Macina“ und die Treppe zu den Wohnungen „Il Focolare“ und „Il Frantoio“ befinden.

Die Einrichtung ist der von “Il Focolare„ sehr ähnlich. Auch hier gibt es einen nicht funktionsfähigen Kamin. Die aus großen Holzbalken und toskanischen Cottosteinen bestehende Decke macht aus „Il Frantoio“ eine einzigartige Wohnung. In dem sehr hellen Wohnzimmer befinden sich die Kochecke, ein toskanischer Tisch mit Stühlen und ein Einzelsofa. Der Nachtbereich besteht aus einem Doppelzimmer, einem Zweibettzimmer und zwei Bädern mit Dusche (eines davon im Zweibettzimmer)
Lässt man eine Tür im Wohnzimmer offen, verwandeln sich „Il Focolare“ und „Il Frantoio“ in eine große Wohnung. Von Wohnzimmer aus kommt man über eine Glastür zum mit Gartentisch und Stühlen ausgestatten Hof. Von hier aus erreicht man über eine Steintreppe den Weg zum Schwimmbad.

IL COLOMBAIO Der Eingang im Erdgeschoß ist unabhängig von den anderen Wohnungen von „Il Borghetto und über eine Stiege kommt man in den ersten Stock. Am Ende der Treppe nach rechts findet man ein Bad mit Dusche und zwei Schlafzimmer (ein Doppelzimmer und ein Zweibettzimmer). Links hingegen befinden sich ein Bad mit Dusche und ein sehr großes Wohnzimmer mit auffallend kleinen Fenstern, über welche früher die Tauben herein kamen.
Über alte Steinstufen, mit Absicht vom Besitzer erhalten, kommt man in das kleine darunterliegende Wohnzimmer.  Kehrt
man ein paar Schritte zurück, d.h. wieder ans Ende der Stiege, die nach oben führt, so befindet sich dort eine Tür, die auf den äußeren Hof geht. Von hier kommt man über einige Stufen zu einer erhöhten Terrasse mit Tisch, Stühlen und einen großen Sonnenschirm: Von hier aus genießt man einen wunderbaren Blick auf den terrassierten Garten von „Il Borghetto“ und auf die umliegenden Hügel. Diese Wohnung kann mit der Wohnung des Erdgeschosses (La Mangiatoia) verbunden werden und ist dann ideal für eine Gruppe von 6 Personen.

LA MANGIATOIA Der Eingang dieser Wohnung befindet sich auf demselben Weg, der zu „Il Colombaio“ führt. Beim Eintreten findet man rechts einen Kamin (nicht funktionfähig) und links eine gemauerte Kochecke. Die Mauern des Wohnzimmers bestehen ganz aus Steinen und die Decke, wie in „Il Frantoio“, aus Holzbalken und Ziegeln. Durch eine kleine Tür kommt man in ein Doppelzimmer und von hier aus zu einem der Bäder mit Dusche, die sich im Erdgeschoß befinden (das andere Bad ist vom Wohnzimmer aus erreichbar). Für diese Wohnung ist eine kleine Terrasse mit Ausblick reserviert, die nicht weit weg von der Wohnung gelegen ist. Diese Wohnung kann mit der Wohnung des ersten Stocks (Il Colombaio) verbunden werden und ist dann ideal für eine Gruppe von 6 Personen.
